LaiZhou Weiyi Experimental Machinery Manufacture Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) is a specialized manufacturer of hardness testers, metallographic sample preparation equipment, and consumables for sample preparation, integrating production, R&D, and sales. The Company is recognized as a National High-Tech Enterprise, an Industry Hidden Champion, a National Intellectual Property Advantage Enterprise, and a Industry–University–Research Collaboration Base of the Shandong Academy of Sciences. Founded in 2001, the Company is located in Laizhou City, Shandong Province—the birthplace of Qilu culture.
The company operates ten subsidiaries, including Shandong Weiyi Import-Export, Zhongye Software, Fengfeng Abrasive Wheels, and Zhongzhou RV Manufacturing, with its products exported to more than 70 countries worldwide. Its core product lines include Rockwell, Brinell, and Vickers hardness testers; metallographic cutting machines; metallographic grinding and polishing machines; specimen mounting machines; metallographic preparation consumables; and direct-reading optical emission spectrometers. The company places great emphasis on technological R&D in both products and materials, building a robust technical capability centered on proprietary intellectual property rights. Several of its products have earned widespread recognition among domestic customers. Over the past several years, the company’s market share has steadily increased, establishing it as a leading brand for metallographic sample preparation equipment in China.

Many key national research institutes and project laboratories rely on the company’s products, including the Testing Center of the First Research Institute of the Ministry of Public Security, the Eighth Research Institute of the Nuclear Industry, the Institute of Metal and Chemical Research of the China Academy of Railway Sciences, the Metrology and Physicochemical Testing Center of the 602nd Institute of the China Helicopter Design and Research Institute, the State Key Laboratory of Solid Lubrication at the Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, as well as hundreds of universities—including Tsinghua University—dozens of steel enterprises, and more than a hundred automotive manufacturers. In 2004, the company obtained ISO 9001 certification for its quality management system, and in 2011 it secured EU CE certification, marking the beginning of its comprehensive expansion into international markets.
