On November 25, 2020, Zhang Zuxia and Yin Guowen, Directors of the Standing Committee of the Yantai Municipal People’s Congress, visited the company. Accompanied by Wang Yaoyi, a Yantai Municipal People’s Congress representative and General Manager of Weiyi Company, they toured the product exhibition hall and the final assembly workshop.
At 10:00 a.m., two directors and several deputies to the Yantai People’s Congress visited Weiyi Company. Accompanied by General Manager Wang Yaoyi, the leaders toured Weiyi’s product exhibition hall, where Mr. Wang briefed them on the company’s business scope and operational performance and explained the functions and applications of Weiyi’s products. Upon seeing Weiyi’s offerings, Directors Zhang and Yin heaped praise on the company, fully recognizing its achievements in China’s instrumentation industry.
In the exhibition hall, General Manager Wang briefed the leaders on Weiyi’s Phase II corporate expansion project. In response, the two directors offered several constructive suggestions and expressed the hope that the company would maintain close communication with the People’s Congress throughout the project’s implementation, as the Congress could help facilitate the recruitment of expert talent to support the enterprise.
Subsequently, General Manager Wang accompanied the leaders to the final assembly workshop. In the final assembly workshop, General Manager Wang outlined the initiatives that Weiyi is currently implementing. “Lean manufacturing” fundamentally enhances production efficiency, reduces production costs, standardizes 5S practices on the shop floor, and streamlines production processes, all in pursuit of continuously delivering test instruments that are stable in performance and durable.
Before concluding the inspection, the two directors and the deputies to the People’s Congress gathered before the patent wall in the exhibition hall. Director Zhang suggested that Weiyi should continue to increase its investment in scientific research, further enhance its capacity for independent innovation, and place greater emphasis on the protection and commercialization of its own intellectual property rights.
Finally, Director Zhang expressed the hope that Weiyi will continuously enhance its overall corporate strength, consolidate its position in the industry, and create greater value for society.
