Automatic Metallographic Sample Grinding and Polishing Machine
This machine is equipped with an advanced microprocessor control system that enables stepless speed regulation of the grinding and polishing platen and head, as well as intuitive and convenient settings for sample preparation pressure and duration. Operators can complete the grinding and polishing processes simply by changing the grinding and polishing platen or the metallographic abrasive papers and polishing cloths, thereby enhancing the machine’s versatility. The equipment features freely selectable rotation direction of the grinding and polishing platen, quick-change platen mounting, a multi-sample holder with pneumatic single-point loading, and automatic abrasive delivery (with an optional liquid dispenser). Additionally, it offers smooth operation, high safety and reliability, low noise, and a cast-aluminum base that enhances the rigidity of the grinding and polishing process.

I. Overview
The MoPao® Model 2 automatic grinding and polishing machine is a single-disc, benchtop unit that, in accordance with international standards and utilizing state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies, represents a new generation of high-precision, automated sample-preparation equipment.
This machine is equipped with an advanced microprocessor control system that enables stepless speed regulation of the grinding and polishing discs and heads, as well as intuitive and convenient settings for sample preparation pressure and duration. Operators can complete the grinding and polishing processes simply by changing the grinding/polishing disc or the metallographic abrasive papers and polishing cloths, thereby enhancing the machine’s versatility. The equipment features freely selectable rotation directions for the grinding/polishing discs, quick-change disc replacement, a multi-sample holder with pneumatic single-point loading, automatic abrasive delivery (with an optional liquid dispenser), and other functions. Additionally, it offers smooth operation, high safety and reliability, low noise levels, and a cast-aluminum base that enhances the rigidity of the grinding and polishing process.
This machine is equipped with a water-cooling system and abrasive-spray nozzles, which enable cooling of the specimen during grinding to prevent overheating from damaging the metallographic structure and to continuously flush away abrasive particles. Additionally, its ABS housing and stainless-steel standard components enhance its aesthetic appeal, improve corrosion and rust resistance, and facilitate easy cleaning.
The MoPao® Model 2 automatic grinding and polishing machine is designed for automated sample preparation, covering the entire workflow from rough grinding and fine grinding to coarse polishing and fine polishing of metallographic specimens, making it an ideal sample-preparation instrument for industrial enterprises, research institutions, and laboratory settings in colleges and universities.
