Product Introduction

I. Overview:

Mounting small, difficult-to-handle, or irregular metallographic and petrographic specimens facilitates subsequent grinding and polishing, while also enabling accurate observation of the desired microstructure under a metallographic microscope and reliable hardness testing on a hardness tester.

 

II. Equipment Characteristics:

1. An innovative integrated heating and cooling design reduces sample mounting time to just 6 minutes, significantly enhancing work efficiency.

2. Research was conducted on the development of a cyclic jog-pressure control system, associated methods, and sample preparation techniques, enabling controlled and maintained pressure during mounting of samples, thereby improving the quality and hardness of mounted specimens.

3. An innovative pressure-retention circuit has also been implemented, which effectively expels trapped air from the material, resulting in a uniformly textured mounting specimen and preventing bubble formation caused by residual air, thereby ensuring a smooth specimen surface.

4. Our team also conducted in-depth research on equipment safety and developed a fixture for the inlay machine, effectively preventing the risk of injury caused by the upper cover springing open when removing the test specimen.

5. The programmable control system of this mounting machine provides 10 user-definable preparation programs, meeting diverse mounting requirements.

6. This machine sheds the bulky, clunky image of traditional inlay machines, featuring a brand-new ABS housing with a fresh, refined color scheme and sleek design that delivers a comfortable user experience—no longer just a cold, impersonal piece of equipment.

7. The ixiang®-5 automatic metallographic sample mounting machine is equipped with a central mold capable of accommodating specimens up to 15 mm thick, enabling simultaneous mounting of two samples at a single station—while delivering equally excellent mounting results.

8. During the actual sample preparation process, different pressures are required to accommodate various thermosetting mounting compounds. The Ixiang5 automatic mounting machine can precisely control the pressure according to varying requirements, with an adjustment range of 1 to 20 MPa.

9. The ixiang®-5 automatic metallographic sample mounting machine is equipped with a large-size capacitive touch screen that delivers excellent display performance.
