The HV-5/10/30/50MPTA Vickers hardness tester is suitable for testing metallic materials, including tiny components, thin sheets, metal foils, wires, thin hardened layers, and electroplated coatings. It can also be used to test non-metallic materials such as glass, jewelry, and ceramics—materials that cannot be tested using the Rockwell method or other tests requiring relatively high test forces.
